Hydroelectric power has 72 percent of the region’s support as a clean, renewable source of energy, according to a recent poll. Furthermore, 67 percent of residents believe Congress and state legislatures should define hydroelectric power as a renewable energy resource.

The Franklin PUD Commission voted to implement a rate action increasing revenue by 4.9%, including changing the residential basic charge to $21.45 per month effective May 1, 2013 and May 1, 2014.
