NWPPA Annual Meeting
| Franklin PUD had a great time at the NWPPA Annual Meeting! General Manager Victor Fuentes had the opportunity to present “From Disposal Problem to Valuable Asset: The Story of Effective Collaboration.” He shared the journey of how our old, idle Pasco Combustion Turbine plant was safely decommissioned and transformed into what is now our Railroad Ave. Substation. Located north of the Tri-Cities Airport in the Reimann Industrial Center, this substation was built with the future in mind. Thanks to a strong partnership with the Port of Pasco, it has the room to expand to five bays, meaning it will eventually become Franklin PUD’s largest substation to help us power our growing community! |
