How Water Setting

Your water heater should be set at 120° degrees Fahrenheit (120°F) in order to use less energy, save money and be safe. At 120°F, it will take approximately 10 minutes to scald a person; however, if your water heater is set at 150°F, it will take only two seconds to scald someone. By lowering your water heater from 150°F to 120°F, you will minimize the scalding potential and can actually lower the amount of energy you use.

Take a few moments to check your settings. This will keep your family safe and may save you a little money in the process.
