Low Income Senior Discount Overview English & Spanish - printable version
Qualified Franklin PUD customers may be eligible to receive a 15% or 30% monthly discount based on age, and total annual household income. The discount is effective the day the certification is completed and approved. Only one discount per household allowed and will be applied to the residence where customer resides. An income verification will be required every year or upon the request of Franklin PUD.
How to Get Certified:
To apply for or re-certify your discount, please contact Franklin PUD’s Customer Service Department at (509) 547-5591, Monday through Thursday from 7:00a.m. - 6:00p.m. Franklin PUD is closed on Fridays and observed holidays.
Required Documents: One of the following
- Valid United States government issued photo driver's license or identification
- Valid passport issued by any country
Two of the following:
- Proof of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Bank statement showing a direct deposit of Social Security benefit
- Benefit award letter(s) from Social Security
- Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) documents proving household income
- Federal Income Tax Return documents
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must provide all required documentation in order to process certification
- Applicant must have electric service under Rate Schedule No.1 Residential and Small Farm Service
- Applicant must be 62 years of age or older and have a total annual income (including income of spouse or co-tenants) for the previous calendar year as set in the guidelines below:
